Embarking on new things...getting out of our comfort zone

Hello again friends and family~

Just wanted to share with you some thoughts and inspiration I have acquired on doing the things we thought we couldn't...this is the first post on this, two more parts to come! The first thing I have to share is that is something that takes self confidence...that you can do anything you set out to do, if you really want it enough! For me, now, it is starting an art business, selling my art, and making a living on doing so! Lots of artists are doing it now...not so far fetched! It of course is something I have to work hard on! I am prepared to do so! More to come...

Art brings hope and comfort...

Hi there dear friends and family~
It always amazes me every time I do art how much heart one puts into their work. I mean, that is what it is all about...often times it is also cathartic. Truly when I paint, I put so much thought into it, so much of myself. It is almost like a journal entry with paint on canvas bringing comfort, peace and hope. That is also what I hope my paintings give to the viewer. This is my desire. It is a beautiful thing to share oneself with another, possibly bringing comfort, kindness and compassion to another person. Art is to give. Art is not only for ourselves I have fully realized. This is why I do what I do. I am in school for Art Therapy. I do not just want a degree, I want these tools in order to help others, giving them some peace, hope and comfort that I believe God has called me to do. To be His instrument, through my paintbrush to transmit His love, peace, hope and comfort to others. I hope I can do this the way in which He wills me to. His little servant (and painter.) May God bless you with love, kindess, gentleness, hope and peace. To Him be the glory!

Finding hope with art

Hello friends and family~
I am a believer that God gave us art as a gift...a means of expressing oneself. It also is something to be shared with others, not to keep to oneself! That is my intention with my artwork. I want to share it, not keep it under the bushel basket! I hope that my art brings a sense of hope and peace. The artwork that I do is from my heart, my thoughts, my ideals, morals and values. I want it to reveal these things and to make the viewer smile. I enjoy all types and styles of art, and I am working on my own style that I will carry on with. Working on getting my art business off the ground...

Hello friends and family...
Well, I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I am diligently working on my art business. I am wanting to be a full time artist, along with finishing school and so on. I offer handmade original art, prints, and other artful objects as well as mural paintings for the home. It has been interesting trying the to perform the balancing act of starting a business, having a job, soon to start school and everything in between! Brad is so supportive of me and my art, my biggest fan he is! I want to share my art with others, in the hopes of bringing some happiness, peace and joy to the viewer. I feel a calling to this.
